Spidey Joins The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)!

Okay, big news, but no real surprise here. Real wheeling-dealing!

(I feel bad for the “Amazing Spider-Man” folks, since I guess it means that it’s all over for them, their coming plotlines, sequels, spinoffs, etc. The other losers–for a while–are hardcore fans of “Black Panther,” which now has been moved to 2018. Really, all the movies have been moved back one slot.)

This means he can join the coming “Civil War” movie adaptation (where, in the comics, he unmasks) and basically be in everybody’s movie, like Black Widow.

It’s A Superhero World, Vol. 4

WOW! But I guess it is time, after 50 years!

And, speaking of Marvel:

Okay, Marvel is going with Ultimate Fantastic Four. (After all, the movie Avengers is Ultimate Avengers, so…) I read it, and didn’t hate it. So we’ll see if I like it, even if it’s not my Fantastic Four.

Crossover?!? YES!!!! I’m still excited! Less than four months to go!

Carter

Lotta geek buzz for “Agent Carter!” I try to catch glimpses of it when I’m home.

Enjoyed seeing The Howling Commandos!

Diggle as the John Stewart Green Lantern one day?!? It’s one of those ideas that I hate on paper, but I admit I wanna see it! LOL!

“Online search engines have overtaken traditional media as the most trusted source for general news and information, according to a global survey of 27,000 people by Edelman, a public relations firm. . . .

“And the striking thing is that Google does not actually report on anything, but instead serves up links to stories on a mix of other sites that users, apparently, trust less than the aggregator itself.” —John McDuling, “Google is now a more trusted source of news than the websites it aggregates,” Quartz.com, Jan. 20, 2015

• Editorial Comment: I saw this in the Times, but didn’t believe it until I saw it on HuffPo.
