“Doonesbury” was my bridge from my first love, cartoons and comic strips, and my second love, journalism!
So I am happy about this news!
“Doonesbury” was my bridge from my first love, cartoons and comic strips, and my second love, journalism!
So I am happy about this news!
After almost 25 years of incredible Batman animated products, I guess this had to happen sometime. I get it: toys must be sold to 4-year-old boys, blah, blah, blah.
But, to be fair, it’s not the first time DC sold out–for no good reason.
Just discovered these last night! Quite charming! Yay for the Black family, and good for DC!
Black Lighting here is the only version of him I don’t have in action-figure form–and I want!
Okay, big news, but no real surprise here. Real wheeling-dealing!
(I feel bad for the “Amazing Spider-Man” folks, since I guess it means that it’s all over for them, their coming plotlines, sequels, spinoffs, etc. The other losers–for a while–are hardcore fans of “Black Panther,” which now has been moved to 2018. Really, all the movies have been moved back one slot.)
This means he can join the coming “Civil War” movie adaptation (where, in the comics, he unmasks) and basically be in everybody’s movie, like Black Widow.
And now we know the membership of TV’s Teen Titans.
WOW! But I guess it is time, after 50 years!
And, speaking of Marvel:
Okay, Marvel is going with Ultimate Fantastic Four. (After all, the movie Avengers is Ultimate Avengers, so…) I read it, and didn’t hate it. So we’ll see if I like it, even if it’s not my Fantastic Four.
Crossover?!? YES!!!! I’m still excited! Less than four months to go!
Lotta geek buzz for “Agent Carter!” I try to catch glimpses of it when I’m home.
Enjoyed seeing The Howling Commandos!
FEBRUARY 8th UPDATE:
Diggle as the John Stewart Green Lantern one day?!? It’s one of those ideas that I hate on paper, but I admit I wanna see it! LOL!
Man, I hope so. It might make me buy comics again!
Okay! Always down with more Damian Wayne!
Atom on one side (played by a former Superman)
and Ant-Man on the other.
Daredevil on TV, from the beginning, and Luke Cage named.
“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” keeping folks guessing (as is my other Tuesday night favorite, “The Flash”), while the “new” “Fantastic Four,”…..well, I don’t know what to say about that yet.
An upcoming “Lego Batman” movie.
Even a radio show starring Cap on “Agent Carter.”
Superhero crossovers now becoming a new television tradition, while “Gotham” settles into praise and criticism.
Then there’s the new “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer, below:
And here’s the original trailer, but in Legos! LOL!
(Will Dr. Stephen Strange make a cameo in “Ultron?”)
Female superheroes are finally about to get their film due. (And one on the Web. And women creators, in film.)
And finally, are comics (continuing the) re-writing (of) themselves to match the movies? Has it really gotten to this point?
TOO MUCH TO FOLLOW!
