If you don’t care that you’ve seen this movie before (*cough* “Iron Man” *cough*, etc.), you will find it enjoyable and very funny. Marvel is sticking too close to its formula. This movie could have really delivered in a lot of ways, but chose to play it safe and instead color by (psychedelic) numbers. And I did enjoy the white female Ancient One, but I felt bad doing so.
…..was in this “rockcomic” album from Buddah Records, which I had at the age of four or so in 1972. It’s called “Spider-Man: From Beyond The Grave.”
It was a full-length album. The album cover folded out into a centerfold comic pictures that matched the album. So you could “read” the story while listening.
HOORAY! Christopher J. Priest’s funniest creation, by far!
This means that BOTH “Sherlock” leads are now Marvel characters! Geeks rule, forever! 🙂

My favorite comicbook author not named Grant Morrison 🙂 talks about his run–my all-time favorite in the 49 years of the character’s existence. Priest’s run that made me a “Black Panther” fan! I no longer collect comics, but I will make an exception for this Priest BP collection!
(And I want to point out that what Priest says in Part One is what I say in my chapter of “Ages of the Avengers.”)
Ta-Nehisi Coates has his work cut out for him! But I’m sure he knows that!
A ghetto “Oceans 11” meets superhero movie! The stars may be white, but the funny supporting cast is Black and Latino.
The “urban audience” word-of-mouth will make this a strong hit for Marvel! This ALMOST makes up for Marvel giving Ava DuVernay the boot!
P.S. So onward to “Captain America: Civil War!”
