  1. I used to watch this show with my grandmother in the mid 70’s. She was a fan. I was young and couldn’t understand it fully. I thought the show was weird. All I could remember is some white guy traveling in a British phone booth 😆.

  2. And that’s what it looked like if you never watched it!!! I discovered the show around 1982–I think a friend told me about it. It was on New Jersey Public Television on Saturday nights at 9 p.m. We got “Whovies”–entire stories with the intros and conclusions edited in the middle. They started and ended in one night. So sometimes it ended at 10:30 p.m. and other time it ended at 11:30! LOL!!! (I read somewhere it aired briefly in the mid-’70s on WWOR-TV Channel 9 in New York, so I might have come across it on the way to the Superfriends and Scooby-Doo.) It was so popular at NJN the small PBS channel went to England and did some small docs on the show! (I saw at least one on YouTube.) The statewide Doctor Who Club would man/woman the phones during Saturday night pledges. I’m so old I remember watching the 20th anniversary show when it premiered!
