Okay, Here We Go :)

Wow! What a coincidence! This photo was given to Matt Drudge today. He says the Clinton campaign sent to to him. Surprise, surprise!

And now it’s revealed that Obama’s crowds are not being fully frisked? Is this a rehearsal for an assassination attempt? The issue is never going away.

P.S. Yes, I thought the “Saturday Night Live” skit (scroll down just a little bit, ’till you see the “CNN/Univision” graphic) was quite true. 🙂

P.P.S. Even a qualified endorsement from The Minister?!? DAY-AM!

P.P.P.S. Hehehehe…….

State Of The Obama Union :)

It was one of the better ones—when it was about the candidate who didn’t come.

I greatly enjoyed the dustup about the invitation (scroll down to the bottom of this link to hear Tavis Smiley’s commentary). As I like to say, Tavis keeps trying to be Larry King and Martin Luther King at the same time. It’s a mix that works for him, but he’s not the whole NAACP. He’s a communicator (and book hustler 🙂 ), not a leader. And I’m glad somebody put him in his place.

Hillary Clinton showed up at the end after trying to rip Barack Obama a new one. Before talking with Tavis (and apologizing for her campaign’s racist excesses), she outlined her career to the Black audience, but I was more interested in her view of the present: “We stand at such a historic moment.” Yep. “Unchartered terrority,” indeed.

The Trail Leads To Terptown

Huckabee at the Stamp Student Union today, Chelsea in the Stamp’s Food Court on Sunday, and Obama at Comcast on Monday?

Boy, the plantation is rocking candidates left and right. I expect to run into Ron Paul in the bathroom any moment now! LOL!

FEBRUARY 11 UPDATE: See “60 Minutes” last night? And I’m sure you heard about Obama’s Grammy win.

Two Networks, A New Comicbook…….

Can anything stop “Doctor Who” and its spinoffs “Torchwood” and “The Sarah Jane Adventures” other than them being worn out?🙂

Here’s the link to the new “Doctor Who” comicbook. And if you like cartoons, here.

P.S. If you liked the Peter Davison take on the character, you’ll like this. Then you can watch thisuntil it’s gone. 🙂

The Not-So-Secret Plan :)

So, does anyone really believe that the conservative radio hosts and talking heads, including author-columnist-flame-thrower Ann Coulter, are not going to support McCain?

Being perpetually gullible and naive, I ALMOST did—until I saw her on this morning’s “Today” show. She held her position (“I’m going to vote for the most conservative candidate,” she said, as I winced for McCain), but then she added that she would consider voting for McCain if he picked Romney as his running mate (read: if McCain’s running mate is sufficiently conservative).

AH-HA!

So the rallying in unison will begin almost immediately after McCain grabs some arch-conservative governor adored by the radio right.

FEBRUARY 25TH UPDATE: Ulp! The New York Times organized the Right for McCain. As Forrest Gump would say, “One less thing.” 🙂

The Return Of "Eyes II"!

Check out what else PBS will air this month here.

P.S. WETA, my public television station, aired the return of “Eyes I” in primetime last year (and aired all of it on MLK Day of this year), but regulated the somewhat-stronger-in-tone, more Black Power-oriented “Eyes II” to 2 p.m. Sundays. So the opening episodes, the ones dealing with Brother Malcolm and the Detroit rebellion, air today—Super Bowl Sunday. Whatever. 🙂
