Hmm….a little darker this time (including the parents‘ backstory is a good idea in this regard)….. I’m sure it’ll be great, but talk about deja vu…. 🙂 I hope this franchise won’t be rebooted every decade. I mean, does Peter Parker have to be perpetually 17, like Archie Andrews?

And Before "Harry Potter," "The Dark Knight Rises" Trailer!
Powerful, although I had to see it here to “get it.” Couldn’t follow or understand it in the theater.
"Captain America: The First Avenger"…….
……can’t come fast enough. 🙂
Who's Batwing?
He’s an African answer to Batman. Okay, cool (I guess). But can he beat the original African Bat-copycat? 🙂 The first animated excerpt below, from the 1990s “Fantastic Four” animated series, is the adaptation of a 1966 (!) FF story that introduced the Black Panther. (He was the first Black (as in African) superhero in mainstream comics.) The next two are from the recent “Black Panther” DVD by Reginald Hudlin.
A (Kinda) New Superman (And An Old Bat-Character Returns!)
For the non-comics fan, the above images of the revised Superman costume(s?) are no big deal. But to comics geeks……WTF?!?!?!?! And then to hear about how the Clark-Lois marriage might be gone! (Just like Spider-Man, huh?) WOW! (Ladies and Gentlemen, the NEW DC.) Wonder how long it’s going to take George Perez to put him together with Wonder Woman! LOL!
Okay, my new mantra is “I trust Grant Morrison….I trust Grant Morrison….” Â How can I not, since he wrote Perhaps The Greatest Superman Story of All Time (the animated film version recently out on DVD)?
IMPORTANT ASIDE: I thought this—and the discussion it’s generated—has been an interesting part of the reboot/relaunch.
65-Word Review of "Green Lantern" (Not Including Important P.S.)
All exposition and cliche, and no real sense of excitement. Three thousand Lanterns DO NOTHING. Sinestro does NOTHING. Two-thirds in, I was thinking about a book I had bought before going into the theater. Sad.
(And Tim Robbins and Angela Bassett [!] get treated like cannon fodder! These are GREAT film actors, and THIS is what they have to do for checks in 2011?!? DAY-AM! :))
P.S. BUT the sequel should be GREAT! I was glad to know to stay half-way through the credits to see what I had really hoped to see!
Saving The Day (In Updated Costumes)!
But “Wonder Woman” didn’t get picked up by NBC. Hopefully the CW will step in, since it needs to replace “Smallville” anyway.
JUNE 2ND UPDATE: And now the DC Universe is rebooting?!? And in this reboot, DC has taken away Superman’s red overpants and given him a blue collar?!? Hmmm………
And Speaking of Trailers…….
This is NOT the one I saw in the previews for “Pirates 4,” but I was just as excited! 🙂 The one I saw at the movies is below.
Interesting That…….
……”Smallville” premiered shortly after 9-11, and is ending its run shortly after Osama bin Laden is killed. Hmm……
